Coolest & Weirdest Bar's In Orange County

Living in Orange County has it perks, however at time's seems like all the coolest bars and happening places are in Los Angeles or quite a drive away. Check out below some of Orange County's coolest bars, from themed bars, whiskey bars, speakeasies, and just plain random bars you'll find it all below.

1. "1901"

Anaheim, CA 

1901 is located inside California Adventure near the entrance. Most don't know that inside the Carthy Circle you can actually grab drinks at their 1901 Bar as you wait for your dinner reservations for Carthy Circle.

2. "Mission Control"

Santa Ana, CA 92701

Recreate your childhood and attempt to break those old records at Santa Ana's newest arcade barMission Control. The concept of that classic pacman or pinball game and a nice cold beer couldn’t sound anymore perfect.

3. "Johnny’s Saloon"

Huntington Beach, CA

This cavernous roadhouse is filled with rock 'n' roll, jukebox, robust beer & whiskey selection. The room is bathed in a low-key red glow and the walls are adorned with concert posters and punk rock graffiti. 


4. "The Blind Rabbit"

Anaheim, CA

The Blind Rabbit is designed to have the atmosphere of the 20's – 30's, complete with cozy sitting areas and the era music. Be sure to make reservations and be prepared to search for the secret door to get into the bar! This fairly new speakeasies is a must try!

5. "Ruin Bar"

Costa Mesa, CA

If you like oddities then this bar is for you. Not only does it have a very intimate feel, secluded and filled with a bunch of random things, including a piano you can play with! It's somewhat tucked away between Habana and the other stores at the Lab - but when you walk in it's like no other bar.

6. "Swallows Inn"

San Juan Capistrano, CA

Old-school country-western bar that has a variety of handcrafted well drinks, cheap beer, and weird décor all throughout this bar.

7. "The Wayfarer"

Costa Mesa, CA 92627

The vibe is pretty mellow, and they are always playing some kind of live band. You can’t miss out, on one of their reggae nights also!

8. "Vacation Bar"

Santa Ana, CA

Located in the heart of Santa Ana this new bar has a wide assortment of some pretty weird drinks. They Draw inspiration from their travels around the world, and brought back flavors from their adventures from New York City, to Spain, to Thailand and South America

La Mirada, CA

Puzzle bar is North OC’s best kept secrets. It has 30 house made bitters in stick to highlight its many liqueurs, vermouths, and ginger beers in stock. Did I mention they also handcut the ice?


10. "Casa"

Costa Mesa, CA

This sleek, vibrant speakeasy with a retro vibe offers a wide variety of cocktails, live music & DJs. Casa creates its elusivity online, where you can only get in if you RSVP.


11. "Pie Society"

Costa Mesa, CA

Hidden behind an unmarked door in the back of Pitfire Artisan Pizza on the west side of Costa Mesa, this Orange County speakeasy offers craft cocktails and chill area to hang out.

12. "The Rooftop Lounge"

Laguna Beach, CA

If you're ever in Laguna, this is a nice spot to get drinks, and relax while enjoying the ocean scenery on this rooftop bar.


13. "Tribune"

Fullerton, CA

The Tribune, reflects the flavors of a best-kept-secret, speak easy establishment during the prohibition era of the 1930’s. 


14. "Y.N.K"

Irvine, CA

This is probably one of the coolest speakeasy out there (well at least in Orange County). It is VERY Secretive, intimate (tiny room fits about 15 people) and kinda gypsyes. However the bartender will meticulously handcraft each and every beverage with perfection and ease.


15. "The Deck on Laguna Beach"

Laguna Beach, CA

Oceanfront dinning and cocktails basically on the beach, so enjoy the view and grab some food as you watch the sunset on The Deck


16. "Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar"

Anaheim, CA

This bar is located in Downtown Disney and it is one of the cutest little Disney bars. I must warn you thou, this tiki bar gets very busy so get there early!


17. "The Fifth"

Anaheim, CA

The Fifth is located just across Disneyland. If you come at the right time you’ll make in time to watch the fireworks from this rooftop bar.
